Dental Hyaluronic Acid Treatment

Hyaluronic acid, often used in supplements and cosmetics, was originally developed as a medicine for joints. It helps retain moisture in the skin and cartilage, which has the effect of softening and reviving the skin and reducing wrinkles in places that often lose moisture and harden.

At CS Orthodontic Clinic, medical hyaluronic acid is injected from the mouth into the wrinkle portion of the smile lines and around the jaw to revive the skin tissue which is dented or creased. While injecting hyaluronic acid can be painful, we mix it with an anaesthetic in order to reduce discomfort to a maximum.

While the absorption rate of hyaluronic acid has been getting slower in recent years, there is still a considerable amount of difference in the absorption rate between individuals. A stable effect can be expected by repeating about three times in total once every 2 to 3 weeks in relation to the degree of absorption.
